Role

Reporting to the European Sales Director, in this autonomous role you will be responsible for winning new business across the full suite of software and services primarily within the roads infrastructure sector.       You will manage the entire sales cycle from RFP through to closing the business, and although you will be supported by strong resources and a pre-sales consultant here in Melbourne, you are a true end-to-end sales hunter and have the ability to engage with the client at all levels.    Working closely with local and state government departments, this role will also incorporate developing key relationships with civil engineering and civil construction companies to form mutually beneficial strategic alliances.

You

You are highly motivated and driven software sales hunter, with direct and recent experience selling to Government.     You are a trusted advisor to your clients, extremely consultative and will bring a desire to succeed and generate new business wins that is truly representative of who are as a sales professional.

Other requirements:

  • 4+ years in a similar role selling software.
  • Experience selling some sort of technology into Government.
  • Infrastructure experience will be highly sought after, however candidates with suitable alternative backgrounds will be considered.
  • Some sort of formal sales training such as TAS or SPIN will be highly regarded.
  • Driven self-starter with a track record of driving new business sales campaigns.

Role

Reporting to the APAC Sales Director, you will be a trusted advisor to your clients and provide an exceptional level of customer service.    Your role will encompass end to end management of existing telco accounts, with a focus on Telstra.  You will work closely with pre-sales and delivery teams, particularly during proposal negotiations, so as to ensure best possible outcomes for your clients.   You will also conduct stakeholder meetings, assist with formal engagement proposals, prepare sales strategies and presentations and act as a reliable single point of contact for your client.

You

You are an exceptional relationship manager, with the ability to engage at all levels and work through complex scenarios.   You are driven to succeed and have a demonstrable track record of account growth success and a history of over-achieving on designated sales quotas.

Other requirements:

  • 5+ years in B2B telco or ICT sales
  • Experience selling into the Telstra account
  • Have worked for either Telstra or Optus, and understand the landscape of those types of companies.
  • Proven performance against targets.

Sales Manager – Specialty Chemicals

For over 50 years our client has provided essential and indispensable chemicals to Australia’s local industries such as mining and energy, agriculture, food and beverage, water conservation and construction to name just a few.   As such they are the cornerstone of much of our manufacturing and industrial sectors.     They are currently seeking to appoint a seasoned Sales Manager to drive sales for their growing specialties trading business.

Reporting to the APAC Head of Sales,  you will be responsible for driving sales within relevant target markets in Australia’s manufacturing sector.    Whilst this role will inherit a significant and high value portfolio of existing business,  the successful candidate will look to make new acquisitions and penetrate new industries.     Significant growth in this area of the business is anticipated,  requiring a highly driven and strategic individual to identify new areas and develop strategic relationships in existing and new industry sectors.     The successful candidate will have deep experience in complex target account selling which will be essential to navigate existing large accounts and effectively penetrate new ones.   This role also requires genuine hands on sales leadership ability.   Initially you will have one direct sales report, with a view to grow the sales team over the next  18 – 24 months.    Leading, coaching, mentoring and driving the team to success and profitable target outcomes and overachievement of team budgets will largely be done by example, at the coal face.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must satisfy the below criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years recent sales experience ideally within a related sales environment selling raw materials.
  • Proven track record in high value complex sales and performance against budget.
  • Ideally a strong network of contacts within the manufacturing sector
  • Demonstrable track record of winning new business.
  • Clear ability to develop strong long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong experience in imports and supply chain / logistics required
  • Proven track record of achieving team and individual sales targets.
  • Experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies and methodologies, which can be implemented company wide.
  • Successful sales leadership experience, or clearly defined leadership qualities / attributes that can be clearly articulated.
