The Company

This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting new division of a well established global leader in the provision of business information solutions around research, risk and media intelligence.   They have recently developed and launched a cutting-edge new cloud solution that has taken the market by storm and is creating a huge demand in the market place.    To facilitate this rapid growth, this is a newly created BDM role that has a national territory and is based in their brand new Chatswood offices.

The Role

Your primary remit in this position will be to develop new name mid-market and enterprise accounts across a broad range of industry sectors.    You will manage the entire sales cycle from the discovery meeting through to closing the sales.    You will be responsible for developing powerful client relationships and executing on specific sales strategy.     You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to assist you in delivering quality business outcomes for your clients.    You will utilize your C-level network and target account knowledge to develop pipeline and win new name accounts.    You will reap the benefits of not only exceptional sales support, but also any support from senior management that you need.       Delivering on business value for your clients is what will drive you in this role and you will have the backing to do so at every turn.

You:

To be considered, you will ideally possess the following attributes:

  • A proven track record of new business acquisition
  • Have experience with sales methodologies such as TAS, SPIN, Miller Heiman.
  • Have subscription based sales experience.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional business value and successful outcomes to your clients.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven and collaborative nature.
  • 4+ years proven target achievement in a related sales environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to represent the cutting edge of technology and services for this industry.

Key Account Manager (Telstra) – ICT Engineering & Data Analytics

Our client provides solutions that improve business performance.    Solutions around product development, life-cycle management, process and network engineering, data management and data analytics.     Their broad range of solutions provide expertise across a diverse range of industry sectors including telco, utilities, oil & gas, mining, medical and aerospace to name a few.   They have experienced exceptional recent growth globally and as a result have extra head count in Australia to bring on board a Key Account Manager to focus on all existing telco accounts, with a large part of that being different areas across Telstra.

Role

Reporting to the APAC Sales Director, you will be a trusted advisor to your clients and provide an exceptional level of customer service.    Your role will encompass end to end management of existing telco accounts, with a focus on Telstra.  You will work closely with pre-sales and delivery teams, particularly during proposal negotiations, so as to ensure best possible outcomes for your clients.   You will also conduct stakeholder meetings, assist with formal engagement proposals, prepare sales strategies and presentations and act as a reliable single point of contact for your client.

You

You are an exceptional relationship manager, with the ability to engage at all levels and work through complex scenarios.   You are driven to succeed and have a demonstrable track record of account growth success and a history of over-achieving on designated sales quotas.

Other requirements:

  • 5+ years in B2B telco or ICT sales
  • Experience selling into the Telstra account
  • Have worked for either Telstra or Optus, and understand the landscape of those types of companies.
  • Proven performance against targets.

 

On offer
